Assistance plz: phone usb not recognized by pc

ever since i wiped data. it says E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2. does this have anything to do with pc recognizing usb or do i do something else so i can connect to the pc. help plz?
also, it says sd-ext.img not found wen restored, does that affect it also?

And no. You have to partition your sd card to have an sd ext.

Uninstall the drivers and reinstall the Drivers

your file says lg ms690. but tried that and didnt work. ps: my optimus m works perfectly fine but esteem just charges n pc gives not recognized msg

Things tried:
restart pc (and disconnect from power source)
driver reinstall
windows troubleshoot

The Esteem and OM use the same drivers. Those are straight off LG's site.

Maybe a bad usb? Connection?

cable fine. optimus worked. could it be an app missing from the phone or a file to recognized. even though the pc says driver not installed ?

i put it on several other computers andit says driver needs to be installed and some ports say malfunctioned? so is there something that could be missing from the phone for it to work? should i try mobileupdate and see
