Help Assisted GPS Question

YHi all, another newbie question.

Is there a way to leave the Assited GPS option always checked or be able to access it from quick settings option?

It appears the option gets unchecked when I turn my GPS off and doesn't come back when I turn GPS back on.

If you long press in a blank area of screen and then select the Widget option, scroll down and select quick settings. This will put a row of symbols up one being wifi then bluetooth then GPS (little satelite dish) then volume.

I however prefer the app Quick Settings from the market which lets you set lots of stuff quickly ;-) lets you select brightness, ringer volume (plus individual volumes for ringer/notification etc) , BT, Wifi, Airplane, GPS and other bits n bobs.
