Astrid (tasks) won't vibrate

silent3

Lurker
Hi everyone,
I hope someone could help me with my problem.

For some reason when Astrid notifies me about a task he only makes a sound without vibrating.
The "Vibrate on Alert" option in the settings is checked and my phone is not silenced.

The vibration worked fine for a while.
I think it stopped vibrating after updating to Android 4.1.1 through Samsung Kies.
SMS notifications and Whatsapp notifications do vibrate.
I removed the Astrid app and installed it again from Google Play but the issue persists.

My device is Samsung Galaxy SIII.

Thank you for trying to help :)

Try and see if there is an update for Astrid in the Play Store. If there isn't, wait for the next update. I may simply be an issue of the app not yet updated to be fully compatible with the new OS version.

The latest update was on November 20th.
I E-mailed the developers about this.

This is a very popular app and in my opinion it is quite odd that the vibration feature will be an issue after quite a long time JellyBean was released.

I haven't seen someone complaining about this yet on the net so that makes me wonder if the problem is on my end.

Perhaps you're right.

It's interesting to see if someone else have a Galaxy S III with Astrid who can check if he has this issue too.

JellyBean is different for every phone. The one on a Galaxy device would be different from the one on a Nexus device. There's too much modification that not everything will work dandy immediately. Heck the carriers alter the firmware to the level that they have bugs non carrier modified units don't.
