Astro vs. eStrongs

OK...I used to use Astro until awhile ago "they" made it a trial app and I refuse to pay, so I switched to eStrongs which, at the time, allowed wireless networking while Astro did not (I think Astro now does, but I could be wrong on all this).
Everyone still seems to be using Astro vs. eStrongs, so I'm wondering why? Am I off the mark with my assessment?

Astro has never been a paid app. Its in beta and has an expiration date but he always updates before it expires. I've never used estrong before

Yeah, my Astro trial expired and I thought WTF, but I updated and it works again. I wonder how much he is going to want when he finishes it.

I find it funny how many people get so pissed off about having to update astro (mostly referring to market comments btw). They automatically assume that it means they gotta pay despite the fact that their free version shows an update available (and obviously for free), and the fact that there is no paid version.

It looks like astro has a couple of extensions that enable wireless networking, but I've never tried them. I've never used estrongs, but I've heard it's pretty good. Astro does everything I need though.

I switched to estrongs a while ago for the ability to connect to network drives on my computer. Astro does this now too, though you need to download a separate add on from the market. I tried astro again last week and find both programs to be pretty similar now. I stuck with estrongs because I prefer the interface slightly.
