Asus Dock

I got mine off of ebay no problem. There are several with slightly inflated buy it now prices of 175.00 in both colors. One thing I learned once I received it though is that they're imported versions, so the keys include Asian characters under the US letters. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of.

Looks like they're at 200.00+ now. Probably not worth that much of a price hike.
 
Nope, its on back order on the Best Buy site too. I called a local best buy, and the woman said they had plenty of them. I asked her to double check and make SURE it wasn't the original Transformer dock. She promised. Drove all the way out there and it was the original... Since then I've signed up to get email alerts on about 5 different sites. It's virtually impossible to get at this time. Definitely the most half assed launch I've seen, and I don't think Asus cares. Seems like they're ready to bail on the entire tablet now that the TF700 is already on the way. This is why I shouldn't be an early adopter...

I just checked BestBuy, which is where I got mine from. It says "Add to Cart

It lets you add it to cart with no problems, but it says back ordered leaves warehouse in 1 to 2 weeks. So you can still place the order but it will take some time to receive.
 
Ya it said "backordered" when I added it to the cart, except when I ordered it, it listed it as usually ships in 0-1 days. It took a week to ship it to me across the country. So I'd definitely go through with the order from best buy. I was willing to wait a week but it took a week from order to receiving.

I hope your ship dates are correct. I ordered the champagne dock from Amazon on Nov 22. You know, last year. :) Anway, after a couple of weeks my order status changed from we'll notify you via email, to estimated delivery date of Jan 5, 2012. On Jan 5, I received an updated email from Amazon telling me product is delayed, and asking if I wanted to continue to wait or cancel the order. I chose to keep order open, and it has ever since been in a "we'll notify you via email status" when they have a better idea when it will ship.

I ordered mine the same day you did. I'm surprised you got an email with a Jan 5 shipment!
 
I got mine from Best Buy last week. I seen someone had mentioned keeping the Best Buy product information window open and refreshing every so often. I did so and eventually they became available while I at work on Friday and shipped to store by Tuesday. Def. made my Prime a keeper!
 
Finally got my gray dock from best buy today. Taking 10 days to process my order and ship it ground from california to ny was so painfully slow, but well worth it. So far, I have a love/hate relationship with the trackpad mouse. There are times that I love it, and other times that it's a total annoyance. Overall all though I would say that it is well worth it, having the usb port for a gaming controller is nice as well.

I would have rather not had that email. It just got my expectations up and then dashed them. :-)

Oh well, waiting on the dock isn't nearly as hard as it was waiting on the Prime itself. And I was getting concerned that I would get the dock first.
 
Son of a! This is frustrating. I get alerts from nowinstock.net but it is either for the grey dock from Best Buy or an alert from Gamestop. Gamestop must stock about 3 at a time for the entire country! It is always sold out before I can check out.

Just check your local office depot. That's where I got my grey dock from. They're really good at keeping the grey dock in stock, but on the other hand, if your a champagne user... well your gonna have to wait a while... Or you just might get lucky, lol:)

Along the top row, the 4th button toggles the touch pad on/off. I now wish my laptop had this feature.
 
I ordered my TF102 and dock from Amazon in November, received the TFP January 10, but the dock just showed up last week. And I haven't even opened the box yet since I had to RMA the tablet 4 days after I got it and I'll just be getting it back on Monday!
 
Office Depot was the only ones I could find with one in stock too. I picked mine up this afternoon. Funny thing was that they have been listed online as out of stock and on back-order even when I called to confirm.
