Help asus tf201 problem with google play

[sanjosebob]

i have a asus Eee tf201 prime tablet i can down load movies from Google Play and they play fine on the tablet but when i connect HDMI to TV i lose picture i've tried several different cables and TV's and the same thing happens. if i connect to Netflix everything works great on the tablet and the TV. that tells me that it's not a tablet, cable or TV issue. can anybody tell me if they know of this problem and is it an problem that Google Play has to fix

Those cables and tvs can be finicky. I don't know if it's Play's problem or otherwise. I don't have a cable so I can't test it out. I did find this thread on XDA that details similar problems:
