Root [AT&T] AOKP ROM - HELP - GPS gone?

Hey guys I just got into this ROM and I lost my GPS app, I can't find it anywhere and I have been searching all over the internet for a .APK file of it and still no luck. Anyone have any idea? Thanks a lot guys for your time! Rom is great!

did you try searching all over the Play Store too?

FYI... (it's been a while) but i think AOKP doesn't come with a GPS/map app.

Which release are you using? I'm using the latest and all my maps/GPS functions work correctly.

Did you make sure to wipe dalvik before you flashed ( if you came from another rom ) ?

also, did you flash the appropriate gapps for your version of aokp?

I didn't come from another ROM just came from stock, then I went back to stock and now my GPS wont work on that. So I found out there is a update for AOKP ROM and see if that helps, but what appropriate gapps are you talking about, I found one but all google apps came but the navigation so I guess I didn't get the right one. Could you please provide me the link?

depending on the ZIP package, gapps will at least come with the Play Store.

then from there, you just search for everything you need- gmail, maps, chrome, search, etc.

That link has the new google apps, which comes with gmail and maps and all the google goodies you need, and the new bootloader / instructions that you will need in order to flash the newest aokp.

(Any 4.2.2 phone for that matter?) :beer:

EDIT sorry i forgot i posted this. I have the latest Gapps for my model but i think what i meant was, is Gapps a universal thing across roms?

As long as the android version matches, yes they are. For example, if you are running a 4.1 rom, you can only flash a 4.1 gapps package.

Task just released a new gapps yesterday, I haven't flashed it yet though... I stopped flashing nightlies since I started getting a nice stable pa build. It's like crack withdrawl!
