Root [AT&T] AT&T variant on AT&T service no MMS after root + latest update.

Ok so before the latest update that gave us the full screen album artwork on the lock screen while the stock music player is playing, I was rooted before that update and I had always thought if you were rooted your phone wouldn't update, well it did and ever since I have not been able to send or receive picture messaging. Does anyone have a hot fix for this or am I going to have to revert back to JB with un-root method and start over? Oh fyi I'm not running a custom recovery.

Have you tried a factory reset after the update?

I did not, that's gonna wipe my phone though right?

Ok guys I have tried unrooting/fdr/downgrading and still there is nothing I can find on fixing my MMS not sending nor receiving. I've looked over the web and have read that I'm not the only person having this issue. If anyone knows of or has a fix for this please feel free to post up a link or leave me a reply on how you did it. Please note that currently I'm not rooted and am just running the stock 4.4.2 KitKat on my LG G2 AT&T. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
