Root [AT&T] Att GN2 sim unlock

On xda there is a form to unlock sim but it is not working? I have called att and also paid for unlock code and both att and sight has gave me the same code. I have a tmobile sim in the phone and still the sim will not unlock. Anyone know what other steps I may need to take to unlock sim for a different carrier?

I followed the xda post on unlocking AT&T Note II and it works. You have to be on Android 4.1.1 though. Not sure why the code AT&T gave you would not work. That seems strange. Have you performed a power reset after the unlock code?
