It depends on the bitrate/throughput the content is being streamed. While my sling mobile app and Sling Solo box may only max at ~300Kbs, the Dish Network sling adapter and remote access app will push out 1Mbs to the phone, and will do upwards of 6Mbs tethering to the laptop.

EDIT: What are you getting at. There's about 3 different answers to this question. Are you talking total bytes, hertz, what?
All 3 I think it would help a lit of people out if they understood more about how their phones and.networks worked
Total bytes, no. Hertz of spectrum, yes. LTE is more efficient in that it pushes more data into a given amount of RF bandwidth.
