AT&T charge complete sound on jellybean?

fojae

Newbie
I've heard some reports that with the jellybean update the phone will now make a sound when charging is complete and that it can't be disabled. This is a deal breaker for me (can't have myself and wife woken up every night by the phone charging next to my bed and can't disable sound completely due to possible emergency calls) and will force me to pass on jellybean. Can anyone on at&t say if this "feature" exists?

Thanks

It doesn't on mine. I'm running stock 4.1.1 on AT&T. The only thing that happens is my screen turns on and a notification appears, but no sound.

The only time I've seen this option is w/a battery stats application. If you happen to have one that you d/l & installed, check that apps' settings for a notification sound option.

running Jelly Bean on AT&T and I've never heard a noise

also with the jelly bean update, I got a feature called "blocking mode" that turns off notifications (but you can allow calls to come through, from certain people only, or from all)

but i don't remember hearing a peep from my phone before I enabled blocking mode, so I don't think what you've heard is true.
