Help AT&T Data Outage

dpeters63

Lurker
I have been happy with my LG Thrill since I bought it a month and a half ago.
Suddenly, the last couple days my data connection to AT&T has been dead a considerable amount of time in a location I have had no trouble in the past and with 4+ bars for signal. Have not loaded any apps or done anything else I can think of would cause this. :(
Anyone else have/had a similar issue? and what did you do about it.

A fews days ago it was to the point where I click on a link and nothing would happen. I would get these 30-60 second delays with no pages loading up. Seems to be working fine today.

Same here, but would help isolate the issue further if we say which calling area... TX here, Houston area... I see Southern Cal? If its in an isolated pocket with several exeriencing the same, it could be that some network updates going on.

Wish they announce when they plan to take bulk areas down and post a general msg online stating..if you are in the bla bla calling areas you may experience....due to maintenance work scheduled to occur...

I know other unforseen issues may crop up, but for controlled outages, would be nice to know

just curious to what <---- is?

:D

Added my location info as Northville, MI. Though the issue is being experienced in Dearborn, Michigan.
Weird thing is that I continued to have the same issue and noticed some potential conflicts with Juice Defender so I uninstalled the program and rebooted.
This appeared to solve the issue.

Had the same issue this morning, rebooted and things were better again.

Is there a cache or something I should clear when I have this issue?

You asked to isolate where the issue was. That's an arrow pointed towards my info on the side.

Hey JayC, I meant tolog back on and remove that message because I "thought" thats what you referred to, sorry about that.

Looks like its Michigan, Tx, Cal. My area is sporadic with this issue where rebooting seem to work. It cant be the device either because we have three phones and all three does the same exact thing at the same time... Then rebooting seem to clear....

im having similar issues in NW Missouri Some days I just cannot get online unless I have wifi.

thats been my experience for about 2 yrs straight, couldnt browse unless i used 'wi-fi' to enhance "the nations fastest network experience"

BUT, i gotta give AT&T a hand !! they rolled out the LTE network in addition to upgrading 3g towers, in my calling area. I can now pick up 3G+ signal and browse with wi-fi off when, before the network upgrade, my home calling area (several miles outside the big city) was edge and absolutely no browsing without the eilp of wifi.

The new Network coveage map for my location now shows "edge" pushed out to further out areas that didnt have at&t at all, which is good for those new subscribers.

"So, you like my new Network Coverge Rollouts?..
.... well, we try our bestest!...
