AT&T Disabling HSUPA on Atrix!

They do the same on the Dell Streak but it could easily be fixed by manually updating to the non AT&T 2.2 firmware. Note this mostly affects upload speeds. When I went from 1.6 to 2.2 on Streak the speeds went from 1-1.5mbps/250k to up to 3.5mbps/1.5mbps down/up.

Sigh. I really want to get the device. Rooting has given me faith again, but now this? smh... The atrix 4g speeds are consistently slower then other devices up and down.

People are making a common mistake. Just because you see the H+ does NOT mean you are getting HSPA. From what I understand there are only two indicators on these phones EDGE or H+ ( Everything else ) There is no 3G indiactor.

THe "H" could be simply meaning HSDPA enabled networks (the 7.2 MBps version of 3G) and not the HSPA+ we all are anxiously awaiting. The only place that AT&T has announced HSPA+ being completely live so far is Columbus, Ohio.
