Root [AT&T] Downgrading to JB from KK

OrKo

Android Expert
Has anyone here attempted/done this? I just got my G2 the other day and it came pre-installed with Kit-Kat so in order for me to obtain a rooted KK I need to first downgrade to JB, root that then install a pre-rooted KK rom. I'm asking because I've read a couple of different way to do this and I'm looking for the easiest way to get this done and would like some impute before I make an attempt at this. Not too mention the threads that contain these methods over on XDA seem a lil sloppy (no offense) and would like to get a SOLID idea of how it's done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, OrKo

Here's another link to check out as a REFERENCE only. Its written for the vzw variant but the OP did a nice job of explaining the actual flashing procedure which should be the same for all variants. You could also download the Flash Tools there as well.

Using these instructs, I did not have to adjust my PC clock. Goes without saying but make sure you have the ATT files.

Thanks guys for the quick replies, I'll give those links a few reads and see if I feel a lil more confident, lol. I'm always weary rooting new devices lol.

Still just debating on whether doing this is really worth it or not. I'm somewhat ok with the phone the way it is.
