Root [AT&T] galaxy s3 root question

ok so i have a question for yall. im new to this rooting thing. never done it before.

im trying to do the root like shown on this page :

How to Root AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-I747! | Galaxy S3 Root


it seems simple enough. i got all the way to the point that you have to open the .zip file. STEP 12

when i get there i dont have the option to " instal .zip from sd card.

did i miss something? what am i doing wrong?


also if yall have any advise on how to restore deleted pics. thats have the reason im trying to root. i have herd that you can do that if youre rooted.
i accidentally deleted all my pics.

Go to the xda developers forum and read as much as you can on rooting and roms. It is a great site with tons of info, if you aren't familiar with it.

that said, may want to use this toolkit until you're more comfortable doing things on your own.
