Root [AT&T] help!!!

i successfully downgraded to jb... but i cant get recovery to flash and for some reason my sim card isnt being recognized

finally got the sim to recognize and im now on rooted 80010q 4.2.2 will the kitkat update work and keep root?

I believe you can flash a LG 4.4.2 rom that's already rooted and untouched, people who ota flash the LG 4.4.2 update are half still keeping root afterwards and the others are not from what I've read.

How did the downgrade flashing process go? I'm debating on doing this myself, but I'm noticing that you can either delete or just disable most of the bloat and trying to weigh out whether it's worth it or not.

Downgrade went well. But for some reason it wouldn't read my SIM card until I updated to 80010q. Root works. Couldn't get a recovery working. Every time I'd get to rebooting to recovery I got the android guy with the red triangle

G2 tweaksbox works just fine.

I wanted root mainly for titanium backup and roundr(round corners on the screen)

Did you update via ota, or did you flash the rooted KK rom that's available?

Ota. To a 4.2.2. It won't take the 4.4 ota due to suspicion of root access

There's a rom out that is a LG 4.4.2 KK rooted release you should be able to flash in custom recovery if you wanted KitKat back.

I finally got it right. The commands to flash recov didnt work for me. I found a neat little tool on xda that is just a bat file that flashes it properly. Im on cloudyproII and its pretty damn good. Tonight im venturing into aosp kk roms
