at&t messenger app help

I like a visual voicemail part of app.
however I hate to text message proportion and I do not use it. is there any possible way to get the notifications to stop. I like chomp sms much better been using it since my google nexus 1. so I get two notifications and I hate it.

Nope. You cannot pick and choose what AT&T Messages does. It's an "all or nothing" app.
