Root [AT&T] Noob question Customize Android

Hey all..

I am extremely new to the android world. But im not new to computers

I have rooted my SGS3 and have been flashing my phone with different ROMS trying to find one for my SGH -1747. It hasnt been easy lol..

I do find the CM10 M1 to be the most stable.. and currently running that ROM

I have notice that in the AOKP ROM there are TONS of tweaks for the notification bar and status bar.

For example.. on the AOKP i can change my battery icon in the status bar.. I can also do it on CM10 but i dont have as many options and the one option i want, isnt there.. (Circle battery with percent in the middle)

Aslso on the AOKP rom.. There are options to change the Notification Drawer Toggle icons (from a button to a ON/OFF swtich.. and add a weather widget in the notification table or drawer, whatever its called lol..

Am i oblivious to the fact that all i need is a tweak app or something?

Any advice on how i can customize my status bar and Notification drawer would be amazing..

CM and AOKP are generally the only ROMs where you can expect that level of customization. Some other devs who build custom ROMs sometimes also create alternative themes and flashable zips that allow notification toggle changes, status bar tweaks, etc., but those are far and few between and are generally (not always but generally) less stable than CM/AOKP.

With that said, I'm running an ICS ROM called Ariel [ROM][ICS] Ariel.2.10 [2ETO][Aroma][JKay][10/01/12] that does give you a lot of the modification capabilities you mention wanting because the ROM dev teamed up with another well-known dev to create an integrated system "tweaker" into the stock settings menu.

Battery life is also phenomenal on this ROM.
