Help At@t note 2, cannot access 3g/4g network after unlocking

My at&t samsung sgh-i317 note II, i bought from usa. Bt when I got back to India. I got it unlocked from a technician, he unlocked the phone and I am using it with "Vodafone india" network. But it cannot access the 3g/4g network.

Can anyone guide me to resolve this issue?

Yes, 3G network is available on Vodafone IN, and I am already using 3G network on my another smartphone. But if I am using the same GSM sim card with 3g enabled on it, that will not work on my sgh-i317 note 2?

Is it possible that it has some sort of software issue?
Coz, I checked my phone via root checker app; it says, "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device." Does that matter in anyways? Also tried to install the SuperSU app, but it also gives out some notification message stating, "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device!"

And that actually gives me a bad feeling. Do I need to worry about that? Also I have attache my phone's about device info to give you a better understanding of my device here. Also let me know if you need some other info on this device.

And one more thing, phone is definitely working well on 2G network. but 2G is so slow for me, hence I seek assistance with this.

Hi

I'm not sure why you think it has been, or should be rooted? Have a look at
menu
system settings
about device (at the bottom)
status
device status (at the bottom) what does it say?

Also, check that the Access Point Names settings are the same as for your phone that does work with the SIM.
Check that Network mode is set to GSM/WCDMA auto

check my post above , I edited it!

It may be that the technician did root it while unlocking it from at&t. With that device status you will not get any OTA updates. (although 4.4 is fine I think).

Do check the network mode - that could be it.

My phone do not have network mode setting as you said.. And the APN is correct as I entered them manually and am running internet on 2G network.

But I use *#197328640# to get into service mode settings.
