Root [AT&T] please help!

I just got a galaxy s3, and I believe its at&t but its unlocked. I have 2 questions. Is there anyway possible I could switch it to my verizon plan. And two, the girl doesn't remember the passcode, so we want to do a reset. I hold the volume up, menu, and power buttons until I feel a vibration, but then it just goes to a black screen with blue font. But there's is no wipe/reset option. I have no idea what to do. Help!

No. Totally different technology. It would be like watching TV on a roast beef.

Volume up, HOME, power. When you get that blue text let go and you should get a menu.
