I just received this:

"AT&T Free Msg: An important software update is available for your device that will add features and improve performance. From your computer browser (not your phone) go to SAMSUNG's Digital World and follow the instructions on your PC."

from the link:

Ok, but battery life seems to be much improved, and my Skyrocket seems to be a bit smoother. I like some of the enhancements. Haven't found any negatives yet other than yeah, you have to go back and root again.

I agree (except for the root part - never rooted mine to begin with), as my battery life is a LOT better! Plus, apps are running smoother and the new options for homepages (the active weather display from AccuWeather!) are great!

I also like the new software. I was a bit reluctant at first since I had so many problems with ICS and ended up going back to GB, but JB is really nice so far.

I agree it's nice... however, is anybody else experiencing lag issues? Primarily I notice a lag in the text messaging when I go into a txt thread and come out, or going in/out of apps...

Smokin' for me.

I hate to suggest it but it might be worth trying a factory reset. I didn't do one for Jelly Bean but I did for Ice Cream Sandwich. Really helped a lot.

The thing I have noticed is the bottom row of buttons will stop working on me. I have to reboot the phone and they start working again. This started happening after the I did the update.

Anyone else see this yet?

I attempted the update when I got the message from AT&T. It bricked the phone. I sent it to Samsung for a firmware flash and in the process they changed the screen and touchpad for some unknown reason. When I got the phone back, It still had ICS as the firmware, not JB and the WiFi system was damaged. Sent it back again. They have had the phone 13 days now and no repair. I'm really wondering about Samsung support. I'm tempted to do the AT&T trade in and just bite the bullet (big bucks) on another phone. My wife just got the S4 and it is awesome, but the support from Samsung has me questioning the brand.
