Root [AT&T] (Question) Wifi Tethering Password?

I've set it up before with my laptop at home and it never asked me for a password, but this morning I'm visiting my parents and they're router went down and I'm trying to open a hot spot so my mom can download a book on her nook, but the nook is asking me for a password. I've never set a password so is there a way I can set it up?? Or somehow get the nook to not ask for one?

Might seem like a dumb question but did you try leaving the password blank?

I did, it's making me enter a password... Is there absetup menu for native wifi tether?
