Root [AT&T] Restoring Official Rom

Madroxide

I was given an AT&T Galaxy S3 with Cynogenmod 11 installed. My friend used the installer to install the CM rom and didn't do a back up of the factory Rom. I would like to go back to stock mainly just to see how this phone handles the official 4.4 update when it comes out. So the question is how do I go back to stock?

1) Go to SamMobile Firmwares Find the ROM for your particular model/country/carrier and install it. (If it has an orange box at the right end of the line you use Kies, otherwise you use Odin.)

2) Be aware that once you update to 4.4, you can't go back. If you just want to look at 4.4, look on XDA for an S3 4.4 ROM for your model phone. Make sure you read the thread for the particular ROM and choose one that doesn't lock the bootloader to 4.4.

BTW, although I haven't run Cyanogen in quite a while, I believe that 11 is 4.4. If all you're looking for is what TouchWiz looks like on 4.4, contact Guinness - they like people who are totally different than the rest of humanity. (Windows 3.0 had a better GUI than TouchWiz.)
