I'm fairly new to the whole phone rooting/flashing business but I've done it on a few tablets and know my way around Linux - I'm just having trouble finding some very basic information that won't destroy my phone.
I'm on an AT&T controlled HTC One X and I want off this crazy train. So I would like to root and jump to JB 4 point whatever is out. If at all possible, I would like to not brick my phone, but if I can find step by steps, I promise not to be an idiot. Problem is, I'm surrounded by Macs and don't have access to a PC. I'd prefer to not bootcamp for this either.
So that's what I need, a link or some direction on how to make this happen. Here are my technicals...
Either a mac pro or a macbook pro. one on tiger, one on snow leopard.
