My AT&T S3 is carrier unlocked and rooted. I am going to sell it soon so I will do a factory reset. When I do this I am pretty sure I will lose root but will the phone remain unlocked?
You will not lose root. A factory reset only wipes user data. Any system level mods you've done and any stock apps you've deleted are permanent. To truly unroot you need to flash stock firmware via Odin.
