notifications sounds

I had been using ES File Explorer to make different sounds for each of my contacts when they sent me text messages, after last update from AT&T no longer will it allow me to use ES File Explorer only the fixed message notifications that were provided by Android service. Would like to get various sound back again as it helps me know who has what message and what to answer. Any others having this occur?
