Atrix 4G to Receive Ice Cream Sandwich

Or root your atrix and install a ROM based on the official ics release when it comes. I'm sure it wont take the geniuses at xda long!

They actually already have a build of cm9 based on ICS in the process. Not final at all but that's probably gonna be the route I take.

Well I picked up a Galaxy Note from Bell ( Wow this sucker is BIG ). So anybody want a 1 week old Bell Atrix 4G... just let me know. Had it stolen and they replaced it ( insurance ).

Like I stated in a previous post, too bad the Bell version of Atrix 4G will not be getting ICS. The phone is a nice work of art for what that's worth. Works like a charm. Very fast. Handles everything I shoot at it.

So I'll be leaving this forum and heading over to the Galaxy Note and Asus Transformer forums.

There is also the fact that there will be no webtop until Motorola releases their ICS after September...

So Motorola doesn't use the standard fiscal year that everyone else uses? Q3 starts April 1 and ends June 30. They really should clarify this.

Have you read the latest announcement from Moto about ICS? Says US Atrix will get it and sets a date (can't remember when) but Europe and everywhere else is "development " or something. They removed the timeline.

Yummie...

what a pathetic joke. They're going to start handing out ICS half a year after the OS has been out in general? And only on some phones / carriers? See, this is the kind of horse shiz I hate about android fragmentation and being held hostage by diversity of hardware and carriers for updates.

I think ICS will be the final straw for me holding off of rooting. Motoblur can kiss my lily white butt.
