Atrix vs Inspire

Yeah, that's really cool if you get an Atrix and laptop dock. But, for people like me, who enjoy not having to carry around a laptop to watch a movie and don't mind watching a movie on a 4.3" screen, a kickstand is perfect. I'm not convinced that it's gimmicky; there must be a reason they put it on the Thunderbolt.

I guess that's what I'm saying - I'm confused on why they would put it on one phone and not the other. I haven't really compared the two phone's images in great detail, but I'm assuming they have a really similar body style.

Because the inspire is basically ab unmodded Desire HD.

I think 1st off the Thunderbolt is an HTC PHone with a 4.3" screen with no docking solutions like the Motorola Atrix. Makes sense to put it on there since the EVO has one. I think it fits the EVO and Thunderbolt well but don't think it would look right on the Atrix.


Edit: Just noticed you said Inspire. You do know your in the Atrix forum.

Well I know the Inspire has a Unibody design, that may have something to do with it. Don't know if the EVO or Thunderbolt is Unibody

haha, yeah. I saw the thread topic is "Atrix vs. Inspire" and I noticed another thing that gives an edge to the Atrix (for me anyways).

I'm still undecided on which of the two to get. I currently have the Captivate and at&t is going to let me trade in my phone for either one of the two. I just have to pay anything over $200.

The Inspire is a Sexy phone but with last years specs. I'm always going to go with the best if everything else meets my expectations as far as looks and build quality. You can only benefit from the higher specs on the Atrix. My personal opinion of course. :D

Actually last year by what a month lol Nexus S came out Dec. 17 th

I'm just saying 1GHz processors have been out in phones for a while now. Not saying The Inspire wont be a good phone just that when thinking about extending my contract for two years I want to go with the very best. 1GB of DDR2 memory is huge in my book.

Wasn't the Nexus S a bit dated (hardware wise) when came out though? I mean, no HD video, no SD card, no HDMI out. Some phones had all of that 6 months earlier. The Nexus S was at the very end of it's hardware's cycle. The lack of HD video is a real bummer.

It was probably just a way for Samsung to get rid of all of their junk parts. Like I said, I have a Captivate and I'm never buying another Samsung phone again.

In all actuality I don't even miss those things because gingerbread works so flawless with this phone. This is the main reason I haven't gotten rid of it yet because bloated up froyo is gonna be a major step backward

I agree with that, now that I'm running GB on my Nexus 1, it's harder for me to outright accept the atrix just how it is. Now I might wait a little longer to hear from the devs how badly locked it is.

This is where I'm at. My nexus S keeps having connectivity issues and its starting to annoy but I don't want to loose the gingerbread

We're thinking the same way atlbuc. I just can see myself buying last year's tecnology when I've been holding out for a true Super smartphone for more than a year now. If that's the case I should have just bought a Nexus S when it first dropped ... oh but that's Samsung so nevamind.

I use my EVO's kickstand all the time, for devices that don't have it built-in sometimes you can find a case with it or perhaps try The Wedgi.

The Desire HD's/Inspire 4G's camcorder quality is not supposed to be significantly better than the EVO unfortunately (correct me if that's not accurate but has "Auto focus, Face detection, Geo tagging, Effects") with subpar video-audio capture but decent still shots. I love the EVO's 4.3" screen but will still check out the 4" qHD Atrix when it becomes available. I was happy to read the report that the Atrix will even offer "Full 1080p video capture will be supported via Software upgrade post-launch" as well. Look forward to capture samples & full review of the Atrix 4G asap.:cool:

Me I'm leaning inspire I just love the way it looks and believe that it is enough for what I use mY phones for
