I'm gonna have to say BS on your post I have been with AT&T since pre iphone and I have always had service never dropped calls and always had good customer servie. People arent really unhappy with AT&T the majority of haters are not even on the network they just hate because its the thing to do

At&t does infact have a track record of screwing up updates.
Don't forget that at&t does have say in the OS as well... just because, you don't want to hold them responsible doesn't change the fact.
And this is something AT&T customers who have AT&T phone's have been complaining about at least since I got my e71x about 3 years ago :/
Oh FYI I am an at&t customer for the last 8 years at least, Never had a problem with dropped calls, and had my first phone for over 5 years.
Just because everyone gets mad at samsung, motorola and other manufacturers.. (rightly so because, they are the ones who have to tweak the OS)
Doesn't mean at&t and other carriers aren't also partly responsible for slow or non existant updates :/
If you think I am wrong.. feel free to go grab any android phone.. and look at the unremove-able bloat ware.
Hell go grab any smartphone and look at the crap you can't get rid of.
That right there is at&t's hand in the cookie jar.
And that is proof they have say in the OS itself. Do most carriers add bloat ware? not denying it! but, the fact is phones which are IDENTICAL literally.
Compare the OS of e71 to e71x and get an idea of what at&t does to things :/
That is the event I have most experience with but, others exist.
