Help Attaching to Win 7 32-bit?

Just got my Samsung Galaxy S. Trying to figure out how to attach it to my win 7 box. downloaded Samsung Kies and if I am in mass storage mode it will connect but then give error saying it can't read the phone in this format. If I go into Samsung Kies mode... it loops infiniitely trying to connect.

1. How do you solve this issue for samsung kies?

2. Where do you place music/videos/files when in mass storage mode on the internal SD?

Follow up: I restarted my computer, re-opened Kies and was prompted to install an update. Once I did that my SGS was detected and I could use it via Skies.

#2 above still outstanding though... is there an established file structure for video/audio files with Droids?
