attempting to experience android on laptop

Newbie
I have googled tried different versions both on VB and on HD to no avail.
Primary cause is no doubt challenge and expertise. This is a Toshiba Satellite and I have not discovered as yet a specific version to complement it.
The closest I have come is on VB with FROYO. See Attachment.
Please someone provide insight, alternative or HELP

I thank you for that information and I downloaded bluestacks. Have you used it. I ask because the attachment to my initial post was as far as I could get in installation of Android to my PC. Please do advise if you do in fact know how bluestack can solve my challenge and thank you once more. You can deduce from this at 80 I am no longer sharpest knife in drawer
 
My brother in law bought a notebook with a virtual android on it so there must be a way to have it to play with!
