ZAXIS on the main EVO V thread lost his PHONE & CONTACT icons, and not sure if trying to reinstall the APKs would help. Phone/Contacts are NOT in the application list.

****Actually after reading the thread more... seems that somebody actually created an APK that is basically a shortcut linking to the PHONE.APK of the rom. That way PHONE appears in the program list, and can be recreated on the home screen. Anybody have the skills to do this?

so ive noticed i cant even add or modify my contacts, even with other dialer/ contacts apps, have tried syncing w/ gmail account removing account then readding it, taking the battery out, lol, and from manage apps in settings menu, disabling and re enabling, clearing data, stopping,..... confused havent done anything that would have removed it, at least not i noticed, willing to try factory reset but wondering if that will have any effect with my activation... already activated but wondering if ill have to activate again after resetting, as for the post above:::::


wondering if this would even work as even w/ other downloaded dialer and contacts apps im not able to modify or add contacts, thinking the phones internal original dialer app got borked somehow, dunno, was thinking factory reset to see if it comes back..... any ideas???

Why not flash the stock rom?

not rooted yet, waiting for a weekend off from my 2 jobs to take on that feat, but i just did a factory reset and its back,... right before i did it it something weird was happening where when i would go home from an app or even the app drawer or settings i would get the white htc screen the a loading bubble and then i would finally hit the home screen, thats what gave the final push to fact reset, which cleared up both issues, thanks tho
