Let me add my voice to D.C.'s welcome, John. :)

We're seeing a lot of complaints after upgrades, across many devices and carriers.

One remedy for many of the issues is to go ahead and take the trouble to do a factory data reset. Sometimes this just fixes it, restoring the lost menu items or functionality. Other times it causes the system to detect a need for the upgrade again, giving you the chance to do a back up of the program(s) that got borked by the first upgrade, if they were replaced by the reset. ;)

Other discussion has more to do with acquiring 3rd party apps/widgets from Play Store to replace the lost item(s).

I'll sure be glad when all this washes out; as I say, we're seeing a lot of this sort of thing.

Just in case you did what I did and freaked when effects apparently disappeared. It's not in the "library" view (i.e., when looking at all albums, all songs, all artists). But the equalizer IS THERE after you click on a particular song to play. And that opens up the audio effects when you drill down and press "wired stereo."

I hope it's this simple :)

Did a factory reset and no good. Prior to update I had the icon, as well as on the menu.I was enjoying it while listening to tune in radio. It was working awesome. Not on menu anymore, and icon has pulled a Houdini. Thanks for all your replies, kind of new to this forum thing.

Audio effects is still there, they just removed it from the menu.

Go into Google Play Music, start playing a song and while the song is playing hit settings (3 dots) and then equalizer.

Don't have any music in my files. I listen to tune in and Pandora. It was showing on these before update. Any other suggestions? Also my volume only goes to three quarters when I listen to these? Thanks the 3 dot thing used to be on the top center of my home screen, and that has disappeared as well.

As far as I know the only way to get to it after JB upgrade is through Google Play Music app. Just download a free song to your phone from somewhere and go to Play Music and play it.
