I just purchased the car dock for my Atrix. I like it so far and I especially like that there is an audio output at the end of the USB cable which reduces the cables that have to be run to the dock to 1.
The problem I'm having is this: I unfortunately don't have a stereo with an aux input and I have to use a cassette adapter. The problem with the cassette adapter is that it can't accept full line audio input. It distorts when the phone (or any audio player for that matter) is sending full volume. So, when I connect the cassette to my headphone jack on my phone I put the phone at half volume and everything sounds fine. When using the audio out on the car dock though I can't do that. You can't change the audio level that comes through the USB cable. Does anyone know of a way to workaround this and be able to change the volume in the USB output? Maybe an app that will allow me to do this, or is there a setting I'm missing?
Yeah, I can still just connect the cassette adapter to the headphone jack on the phone, bit I would love if I didn't have to. I like the cleaner look of only having the USB cable running up to the car dock.
