Audio not playing via Deezer

As title really.

I start playing my playlists via the deezer app on my handset, hit the cast button, my TV will display the Deezer logo but the audio on my handset cuts out and nothing comes through the TV. I'm also unable to control the tune that should be playing either, the pause, fwd/rwd buttons are unlickable.

When I alter the volume using the buttons on my handset, the cast icon is displayed next to the volume slider.

I notice on the Deezer support pages you need the Deezer+ Premium subscription for casting to work. So I'm not sure if my subscription qualifies (I get it free via my network, EE).

Any one else having similar problems?

Did you fix this? My wife is also with EE and when casting you see the spinner flash on the tv a couple of times before crashing out. Would be great to know of a fix, or even know if this is intentional because of the EE thing.

Hey Dan.

I don't think so. When they did the massive UI update. I'd a lengthy email conversation with one of their tech support reps. I'm not sure I ever got an answer to the chromecast question though.

Gimme a tic and I'll see if I can dig out the emails.

My chromecast question went unanswered so not sure if it's a result of the EE offer or not.

Fwiw, it still doesn't cast properly for me either.

ive just found this thread after having a similar problem. i think its a deezer problem rather than chromecast. my wife and i both have chromebooks and htc phones with deezer loaded. at first they all cast fine to the chromecast, no problems. now all of a sudden my chromebook wont cast it. as soon as i hit the cast symbol, the app loads, freezes, and knocks the music off on my chromebook so its all frozen.
both phones and my wifes chromebook will still work fine, just my chromebook. a mailed deezer who said this is a known problem, theyre working on it. doesnt help much tho :-/
