When I hook my phone up to my headphones or car speakers it sometimes only plays about half of the actual sound. The vocals are almost inaudible and so are half the instruments, while the other half sounds fine. It sends the altered audio to both headphones. It comes and goes in no manner that I've been able to readily predict. I thought it was a problem with my car stereo until I happened to plug my headphones in. The speaker on the phone itself sounds fine.
