Help Audio/ sound issue

Hi all,

Hope you can help me out here
My HTC one X stopped suddenly playing audio this includes the ringtones/phone, messages etc. So no audio at all.... I already did a full reset (so lost all personal settings etc) ........anyway this did not solve the issue. any suggestions or tips here? Many thanks in advance!

what have you tried besides the reset? you aren't in airplane mode, are you?

No not in flightmode....no clue what is going on here.... phone only vibrates and call volume is 100%....

Try holding down the power button for approx 10 seconds, this is like a battery pull. See if that helps.

Just Tried.....no luck.....

Try settings/sound & make sure your sound profile is set to normal, then look at the volume in the same menu to see if they are set to full.

If still no luck it looks like the phone has developed a fault & needs to be returned.

Called the HTC Helpdesk....They had no clue what it could be( run trough all the settings) so i will return the phone to the shop....So what to do now?.....try another HTC One X or switch to the Sony Experia S ( what was my second choice....)

you can run a test on the HTC:

if you push *#*#3424#*#* on the dial screen, you will enable the function test program. And then select "Audio Test", tap Run. Please finish the test as instructions.

It turned out that my speaker is broken!
I will make a new topic on this issue ( speaker broken !?)

And it happened again. Start rebooting on 30% battery life. Any help guys

This just happened to me. Think it was a YouTube issue as that's what I used last and the sound stopped when using that.
To resolve I chose reset when powering down as this closes all apps.
Rebooted and all fine.
Before I tried just a normal PowerPoint cycle and that didn't work.
