Audio Troubles

Galaxy S3

Occurs with headphones plugged in or without headphones plugged in but this usually comes up AFTER I plug headphones in.

What happens: I plug headphones in to listen to an MP3. There is no media volume.

I attempt to turn the volume up using the volume up/down button on the side of the phone. The phone's volume is displayed, and I click the gear to bring up settings for volume. Every other volume can be adjusted EXCEPT for the media volume. The little cursor just stays far left (zero volume) and I cannot move it.

I go to menu-> settings-> Volume. Same thing happens. I can adjust every single other type of volume except the media volume.

Again this occurs usually when I plug headphones in, but remains that way even if I unplug the headphones.

Yesterday I managed to adjust the media volume while in the main volume settings as described above, but now THAT isn't even working. So far today I've had to reboot the phone every time it does this which is obviously annoying.

This occurs for MP3, video, Youtube, etc.

All I want to do is listen to some friggin music

Please help, thanks.

Just happened again.

I rebooted the phone after my original post.

Played an MP3 without headphones and it worked. Plugged in headphones and it worked. Unplugged headphones and it worked. Plugged them back in and it worked.

Unplugged headphones for a few min.

While they were unplugged I used Facebook, Blood Brothers, and Text Messages.

Plugged them back in and I am back to square one with the audio issue.

Only thing I noticed this time, was when I had the headphones plugged in and was listening to an MP3, I loaded up Blood Brothers and it cut out the MP3 and played the App's music.

Maybe Blood Brothers is the issue? That would be lame.

I guess try it with another game and see if it happens. If it doesn't, try it again with Blood Brothers, to see if that is the deciding factor. If it is the game, then I would contact the developer to let them know about their bug.

Definitely seems to be Blood Brothers doing it. Should've guessed it's an App causing this trouble. Wouldn't think one like Blood Brothers would be this troublesome though.

Anybody know how to contact a developer? Or more specifically, the Dev of Blood Brothers? Thanks

From the play store page for the app there is an email link for contacting the devs, down near the bottom usually. For blood brothers, it's mobage-bb@opencs.dena.jp but just tap on the Send email section.
