Help Audio/video out of sync

Hey,

I'm a new Android user, and still trying to figure out all the quirks of my Hydro Vibe. When I first got the phone, the audio/video I took with the native camera app worked great. All of a sudden one day, I took a video and during playback, I noticed the audio was not in sync with the video. I have turned the phone off and on multiple times, which has helped with other glitchy issues. But, not for this one. Any advice or ideas? The video is basically useless now. Who wants to watch videos you take with the audio lagging by several seconds?

Thanks!

I don't have an SD card.

I'm not sure how to check exactly where they are being stored. If you tell me how, I'll check on that.

Thanks!

When there isn't an external SD card in the phone the pictures and videos are stored in the phones memory.
When a SD card is installed you should get a prompt to store pics and vids on the SD card.
This can be changed manually in the settings
Open settings ..scroll down to "storage" click that.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on "select primary storage"

Having said that.
The thing I was after was if you had a slow SD card.
(Fast = class 10)
Moot point now anyway
I'm guessing you have your video recorded at 1080p
You could try to change the setting in the camera app.
Or possibly try a third party app from the Google store.
But be careful what permissions the app asks for and you understand permissions.

MX Player is my choice for video playback. Lots of settings that help slower devices, and plays MANY different video formats. Did wonders for every budget phone I've owned, and its free.

Try that or, there are MANY other players from play store that may work better for your device. Try aftermarket apps, also check your running apps/ RAM to see if you have any bloatware causing lag there.
