Help auto brightness

nynvolt

Android Enthusiast
When I click auto brightness, it's far too dim. Expose the sensor to light and it brightens up and will remain until I turn the screen off. The sensor works so assuming it's a software issue unless no one else has experienced it. It's not a big deal but I would like to enjoy the battery savings by using it and the convenience of not manually adjusting the brightness.

Thanks.

Then you can turn on battery saving mode and adjust your brightness as you want but battery saving stays on and works on other fronts so you hardly notice difference.

Downloaded velis auto brightness from the market. It seems to work. The stock auto brightness is just not very well implemented.

Under normal indoor light the brightness drops to the lowest setting with stock auto brightness.

I've been happy with Lux. There's a free version and a paid version (once you've used the free one a bit... I recommend upgrading).
