Help Auto capitalization not working

FeelG

Lurker
As from the title, I have tried to set this option with many keyboards, default and not, but nothing works :(((
Phone is a new (Meizu m3s) and I can't understand why.
Everytime I start a sentence, the first letter is not capital, no matter what.
I have spent the whole day looking for a solution.
What could it be???
Thanks in advance.

If your Meizu has international ROM and you can access Playstore, download another English Gboard would fix your problem, some keyboards are Chinese/English and the English keyboard doesn't always follow the auto capitalization setting (Chinese doesn't have capitalization), I have a dual languages keyboard and this issue is not new to me.

Thanks guys.
I have tried the default, Gboard and Swiftkey.
Something I have noticed is that in some cases it works (Whatsapp, messenger) but if I want to take a note or search something trough the phone or in the play store, it does not capitalize.
In addition, everytime I start typing, I got the notification to select the input method, with any keybord i have tried. I cannot get rid of this notification :s

That sounds like a quirk of the Meizu, Flyme OS firmware, a heavily customized and modified version of Android from China. It's rather like "Do you really want to use something other than the beautiful Meizu keyboard that we provide?" Only fix for that I think could be a custom ROM, to something that isn't Flyme OS.

@lvt you're right, Chinese doesn't have upper case or lower case letters, and as far as Meizu are concerned, neither does English evidently. Not seen this problem on other China phones though, they've always capitalized correctly.
