I want to reset my phone to factory settings but when I try to do that it asks for my samsung account information and I lost all my information (mail was deleted & forgot my password.. i know...)

So I saw the auto-factory reset setting and wanted to know if it would reset my phone without locking me out?
I would really appreciate the help! Thank you

it is a samsung a5 2017. i don't know about the phone buttons method, will it help me reset my phone without asking my samsung account password?

Try this from ifixit:
  • Switch off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up button, the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
  • When you see the Galaxy logo release just the Power button.
  • Use the Volume Up/Down buttons for navigation and the Power button for choice on the menu that should appear.
  • From the Android system recovery menu choose: wipe data/factory reset then Yes- delete all user data then choose reboot system now.

factory resetting the phone using the power button combo's will trip FRP (factory reset protection) so you will still need your google information (gmail email and password). if you do not remember those, then you will have to go through the forget password process.
