Help Auto Kill Apps

Hello All:

I am wondering if there is a setting in the Samsung Galaxy S3 or an app I can download which will automatically kill all or most of the running apps on my phone? I ask this because I will go to Task Manager and kill all the running apps then not less than ten seconds later, there are like twenty-five apps running again. I generally have my mobile data off, so that is not why so many are running. I simply want to know if there is a way to have my phone not run so many apps and drain the battery.

Additionally, tasks such as calendar or contacts will be running and I have not accessed them. Why is that?

Avoid Task Killers. Apps will restart themselves after being closed because they (and the processes involved) need to run, you may have a rogue app that's affecting the battery and dealing with that app may be the course of action you need to take.
