Auto on/off app for Android

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and am missing the auto-off feature on my old Blackberry Torch (turning the phone off at night and on in the morning) . Is there an app that can do this for the S4?

I can't think of a way to do this, but as a workaround let me ask you, why do you want to turn it off at night?

Maybe we can find another solution that mimics what your needs are.

I'm not sure why the phone actually has to be off (maybe you can give some more details on this?), but you can certainly schedule it to go into airplane mode at night and then switch back to normal mode in the morning.

This would mean essentially you wouldn't be consuming any mobile data, wouldn't receive any phone calls, and would consume very little battery life.

Use airplane mode. The BIOS on an Android phone is more like a PC where in if its off, its off. You can schedule it when to turn on. Airplane mode can do what you want.

Pull down the notification shade, then you will see several toggles. Swipe them from right to left to see more, then click on airplane mode. Some apps in the play store are able to automate this based on time of day.

If you want to do it automatically, give an app called Llama a shot. It's free, and it works quiet well. If you're looking for something more advanced, tasker is the way to go, but that's a paid app.

If yiu use two fingers to pull down the notification bar, hold the option blocking mode you can schedule when notifications display but lets certain notifications you choose straight through to you
