Help auto-rotate screen turning off automatically

hi,
I have encountered a new problem, the auto-rotate option in settings is turning off automatically because of which the screen wont turn to the landscape mode when tilting the phone? what is the problem? any idea?

just kidding. but here is the solution.

Just go to the Settings>Display> and then check the box at the auto rotate

It seems to me to be related to a power saving "feature".

My guess is that sometimes when the phone sleeps, gyro sensors are turned off to save battery, settings sees no gyro disables auto rotate, and when it wakes up, the setting is not getting reset.

The questions are, is there a way to force the gyros to stay on (rooted/not rooted), it there an app that can periodically enable auto rotate, can the "settings" app be replaced (rooted), what in the system is actually changing...
