My Samsung Galaxy S lately has been running slow, screen freezing etc. I've noticed that auto-sync symbol seems to be on all the time. When I when into settings > accounts and sync, it had background data and auto-sync ticked. I unticked both and it seemed to be running a lot better, but I wasn't receiving any notifcations from Twitter & Facebook etc. If just tick background data will I still receive my notfications or do I have to have both ticked and put up with the slowness etc.
