Auto-update notification sound

My Android phone keeps auto-updating it's applications, which is fine, but I'm getting sick of it using the SMS notification tone for telling me it has updated something.

Any way I can either:
1) change it to use something else
2) stop playing the sound at all

Also, would be great if it would just play it max once an hour or two, instead of once per application when it downloads 50 updates.. Any way to do that?

it should use your default notification sound. If you dont want it to match the SMS sound, then change the SMS sound to something other than the default. I dont know if there is a way to turn off that update sound but check the market settings. Maybe its there. My phone doesnt make a sound when there's a market update, so I'm not sure about your device.

Mine doesn't make any sound either when I have an update ... either one to download or one set to auto-update. Perhaps it's something unique to your model phone. Check out the forum for your handset to see if it is an issue with other users.
