Help Autocorrect Issue

HollaMV7

Lurker
Hello. I am having an issue with my new Galaxy S III phone I got a few days ago. I like the phone but texting seems to not be working the way it should. I have autocorrect and predictive text but neither seem to be doing what they are supposed to. On my last phone which was a Droid X, if I typed something like "Todry" it would autocorrect to "Today" when I clicked the spacebar. This phone doesn't do that at all so if I type a sentence and two words are misspelled they stay misspelled and I have to manually go back to each word and change them before sending. Also on my old phone it would give me suggestions to words that should come next. I typed in "What" and the words "is" or "are" would show up making it faster to just click on them. The S III isn't doing that either. Is there something I am missing and need to fix for these things to function? Thanks for the help.

Same here. The phone had it with ice cream sandwich. Apparently because of Apple Samsung had to take it off with the jellybean update which seems ridiculous since other phones are still allowed to have it. So no more autocorrect for us. Just have to get used to it or download another keyboard

Ok that seems weird. I have since downloaded the free swiftkey 3 ap and like it a lot. That is just what I was looking for but it's only a free trial for one month I believe so that sucks.

You might want to try their new one called swiftkey flow. It has the swype functionality. It's real cool. Just go to their website on your phone and download it

Ok thanks. Is it free? I noticed the actual swiftkey 3 is $3.99 I think it was. The free trial is only for a month sadly.
