AutomateIt showing wrong location

I am trying to use AutomateIt to disable wi-fi when leaving my work. However, it is showing my current location as being about 3 miles from where I currently am. Google Maps has me at my correct location, so apparently AutomateIt doesn't use the same coordinates as Google Maps does. I have Use GPS checked and Allow Course Accuracy unchecked. Any thoughts?

Free Smart WiFi Toggler works for me. You may want to try it too.

It switches off wifi when I get out of range and it switches it on again when I get back into range. Of known (logged) WiFi hotspots. This preserves a lot of juice.
In between it checks regularly for available WiFi hotspots at preset (by me) intervals. And it notifies me if it finds one. You can then choose to add it to the log file so that Smart WiFi Toggler can automatically lock onto it and switch on WiFi next time you get in range again.

Of course I can also scan manually with free WiFi Finder or semi automatic with free outSSIDer ('war walking').

OP, have you tried switching how it locates you? If the rough location doesn't work, try the precise one that uses GPS. I believe it also works by cell tower, son you can set it to turn WiFi off when you hit one of the towers on your way home.

I use AutomateIt to turn off notification sounds at night. I was hoping to use it to turn wi-fi on and off also. Do these other apps control sounds as well as turn wi-fi on and off?

You can also hope for it to make tea for you when you get home but that isn't very realistic either, is it? But what is to stop you from using AutomateIt to control your sounds and one of the other suggested apps for controlling your WiFi access?
