Root Automatic clock update not working.

I have passed on my rooted Desire to my son. I was on vodafone and his contract is 3. I have had Mildwild and CyanogenMod on but the problem is still apparent. The clock does not update the date and time from the network provider automatically. I can only presume it's trouble with the provider. Any help would be appreciated.

Some providers do not provide this service believe it or not. Rastaman here proved even o2 UK do not update their time remotely.

You could download an atomic clock app that will sync with... an atomic clock. I use one called ClockSync. You can set it to a sync frequency of your preference, from 15 sec (for testing) up to 1 week. I think Daily is enough.

Awesome tip.

Thanks :)

I also use something similar on my PC called... Atomic Clock

I know these apps are never going to be as accurate as the source clocks due to ping times, but it means your system clock is always within milliseconds of the correct time.
